Continuous Insulation System is a Continuous Insulation (CI) stucco assembly that provides an added layer of continuous insulation up to 1-1/2 in. thick to the standard Unicoat One-Coat and Unicoat 3-Coat Assemblies. As an insulated stucco assembly, it provides a durable exterior with an energy-saving layer of continuous insulation. This use of continuous insulation eliminates “thermal breaks” in wall assemblies and significantly enhances any structure’s insulative performance. This assembly utilizes a layer of continuous insulation (CI), Unicoat basecoat and finish. Any Somar finish options can be applied over the base coat with varying levels of warranty coverage depending on the type of finish selected. Continuous Insulation stucco assembly is a superior energy efficient choice as the contents for the assembly are quality controlled ensuring a precise mix every time.
